Advocate Health Care reports a $344 million community benefit

Advocate’s 2007 community investment increased $48 million over last year

Advocate's hospitals, health centers, physician offices, and other sites of care are integral parts of the communities we are privileged to serve. Providing quality health care to patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week tells only part of our story. Advocate provides critical community benefits - totaling more than $296 million in 2006 - including:

• Charity care and other uncompensated care for qualified patients requiring our compassionate assistance
• Subsidized services and programs to meet community health needs, including free health and wellness events
• Education for future health care professionals
• Interpreter and translations services for patients and families
• Volunteer services both in Advocate hospitals and out in the community
• Donations to support community and religious organizations
