Supporting our communities

Community benefit is one way we demonstrate our commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve. Through investments, partnerships, programs and services, we work to expand access to care, address social drivers of health and connect people with the resources they need to thrive.

Community benefit and reports

As not-for-profit hospitals, we conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years to better understand the health needs and priorities of the people we serve. The CHNA combines local health data with input from community members, local organizations and public health experts to identify the most important health issues in each community.

The findings from the CHNA guide our Community Health Improvement Strategies (CHIS). These strategies outline the partnerships, programs and actions we will pursue to address the health needs identified in each community. While priorities vary based on local needs, every hospital is focused on improving access to care, advancing community health and helping people receive the right care at the right time.

Our annual Community Benefit Reports highlight this work and its impact. They show how our efforts expand access to care, support better health outcomes and create lasting impact in the communities we serve.
