Fifteen hospitals receive “A” ratings on latest Leapfrog patient safety report

Advocate Health hospitals rank among the safest in the nation.

The Leapfrog Group has awarded 15 Advocate Health hospitals an “A” rating for excellence in patient safety on its spring 2025 patient safety report card. With nine A’s, Aurora Health Care has once again received the most A’s of any health system in Wisconsin.

In addition, two of Advocate Health’s North Carolina hospitals – Atrium Health Union in Monroe and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie in Bermuda Run – not only achieved an "A" rating but have sustained the grade for five or more grading rounds, designating them "Straight A" hospitals. This select group is made up of 346 hospitals nationwide, representing just 12% of all eligible hospitals.

"We are immensely proud and excited about the exemplary Leapfrog awards and our outstanding rankings,” said Dr. Scott Rissmiller, executive vice president and chief clinical officer for Advocate Health. "These accolades reflect the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of our incredible teammates who consistently strive for excellence. Together, we are transforming care and advancing health in our communities with a shared vision of unparalleled excellence."
