C16 Video asset
The Video Asset component allows users to add visual content with an optional caption, providing an engaging multimedia experience while maintaining accessibility and readability.
Component requirements
Required:
- YouTube ID: A unique (11-character) identifier used to retrieve and display the specified video on the page. The ID can be pulled directly from URL of a YouTube video (ex. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2mQo8r0Z3c in which X2mQo8r0Z3c would be the ID).
Optional:

Caption: Rich text field. Allows users to add a description below the video.
Additional component notes:
- Video asset is always set to 100% container width.
- Caption below the video is styled as italic text.
Content guidance
Use this component for a single video asset. Use C43 Media gallery component if you have more than one video. Include the YouTube ID in the copy doc.
Copy requirements and best practices
- Captions are optional, but it’s best practice to include one.
- The caption should briefly describe the video and drive home your main message. Strive for one to two sentences.

ADA requirements
- The embedded video player will follow YouTube’s built-in accessibility standards, ensuring compliance with ADA requirements, including captions, keyboard navigation, and screen reader support.
