C40 Simple sign-up

The Simple sign-up component allows users to easily submit their email address to subscribe to the Health eNewsletter, providing a simple and efficient way to begin receiving updates.

 

Component requirements

Required:

• Headline: Text field. 
• Form ID: Text field.

Optional:

• Support copy: Rich text field.

• Headline Tag: Dropdown. H2/H3/H4/P. Default: P.

• Alignment: Dropdown. Left/center. Default: center.

• Background color: Dropdown. White/White Smoke. Default: White Smoke.

• CTA: Text field along with associated link type (internal/external/anchor/email/phone. Allows to add an overarching CTA.

Content guidance 

This component is primarily used for health newsletter sign-up, but it can apply to other pages where a sign-up is needed. See an example on the heart & vascular page.  

Headlines 

• You can include an optional H2, H3 or H4. If you opt not to include an h tag, a text field headline is required instead.  
• Ensure the headline aligns with what people are signing up for. Example: “News for you.”  

Support copy  

• You can include optional support copy below the headline.  
• For the sign-up field, always include the placeholder “Enter your email.” 
• For the submit button, always include “Sign me up.”  

ADA requirements

• Form instructions must be readable by screen readers.
• All form fields and the submit button must be keyboard-accessible.
