C55 Biography directory
C55 Biography directory component displays information about a team member, such as specialty, title, phone, fax, email, location or other relevant details.
Component requirements
Required:
- Grid number of columns: Dropdown. 2/3/4/5/6. Default: 4.
- Headline tag: Dropdown. H2/H3/H4/P/C03-Headline. Default: P.
Additional component notes:
- Biography profiles are pulled from a central directory and can be selected using the profile selector to control which profiles are displayed.
Content guidance
Use this component for individual bios. For a group of enterprise or hospital leaders, use C56 biography grid.
The C55 biography does not have a built-in title component, so be sure to introduce this section with an H1 or H2 tag. See an example on this biography page.
Content
- Content should be analogous from one bio to the next.
- Name is required, all else optional
- Optional information can include:
- Specialty
- Title (use title case for titles)
- Phone
- Fax (can distinguish it's a fax)
- Locations
- Additional information: all remaining bio copy (e.g., degrees, school attended, misc. bio information)
- On the corporate site, bio copy uses first names, i.e. “Brett has...”
ADA requirements
- CTA should have descriptive, helpful link text instead of generic phrases like "Read More" or "Learn More"
- Images should include alt text, or be marked decorative if they don’t convey important information.

Dr. Aldred is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has practiced for over 30 years in the Milwaukee area.
