Contact usResearch that helps today and in the future
Our history of leading innovative research, widespread resources, national reputation and educational programs fuel our mission to improve memory, brain and behavioral health. We’re focused on this research to help millions of people today as well as future generations.
Why you should enroll in a research study
- Study volunteers enrolled in a clinical study receive an extra layer of medical care with frequent follow-up and progress assessments.
- Study volunteers participating in clinical trials may achieve better outcomes than those not enrolled in a study.
- Study volunteers get access to the latest treatments long before they may become widely available.
- As a result of your own experience or that of a loved one, you may want to shape the future of health care for yourself and others.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to learn about a new treatment for people who have generalized epilepsy and have generalized tonic-clonic seizures. We want to find out if the study drug XEN1101 is safe and if it can help reduce the number of seizures.

Purpose: This study is also known as PREVENTABLE, and the goal is to learn if taking a statin could help older adults live well for longer by preventing dementia, disability, or heart disease. This study is one of the largest research studies in adults aged 75 and older. Our researchers make it easy for people to join the study by connecting with them at home and sending the medication directly to their homes. They also check participants' health records and call them once a year to keep track of their progress.

Region: Greater Chicago IL, Greater Milwaukee WI
IRB number: IRB00117883
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to learn more about a new device called the eShunt. We want to see if this device can help people with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), a condition that can cause walking problems, memory loss, and bladder issues. The eShunt is designed to drain extra fluid from the brain using a less invasive method than current treatments. Researchers want to find out if it works well and is safe.

IRB number: IRB00119440
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to create a network or group of patients and doctors to learn more about Alzheimer's disease. We want to collect information from people who are getting or might get new treatments for Alzheimer's disease. This network will help us understand how the disease is diagnosed, treated, and help find new treatments in the future.
